The Owners
Our owners, Denny and Sandy Freeman, lived on this spacious Northern Michigan farm— they called Sonshine Acres— for over thirty years. Sandy, having had fond childhood memories shucking corn in a corn stile on a relative’s farm, wanted to raise her children on a farm. Her dream became a reality when they purchased this thirty-three acre property.
Their History
Here, they raised their six children and various animals including sheep, steer, chickens, horses, and miniature donkeys.
In the summer of 2013, Denny and Sandy renewed their vows as part of their 50th-wedding anniversary celebration held in their backyard. A year later, they hosted their granddaughter’s wedding reception and a month later, they hosted their grandson’s wedding.
Their Vision
Wanting to leave a legacy to you and other future brides and grooms, they transformed their farm into a wedding venue in 2016.
Whether working with the architect, contractor, landscaper, or consulting with wedding vendors on the reception area, bridal suite, and entertainment system, they were meticulous about providing an elegant but highly functional space.
All with you in mind.
